Chelmsford Croquet Club is thrilled to announce its relocation to Margaretting Village Hall. This move promises enhanced facilities and a warm, welcoming environment for both seasoned players and those new to the game. Croquet is a delightful outdoor sport that blends skill, strategy, and a hint of friendly rivalry. Played on a lush grass lawn, the objective is to skillfully strike balls through a series of hoops using a mallet.
While croquet may carry a traditional image, modern croquet is an engaging sport that appeals to individuals of all ages. Chelmsford Croquet Club boasts a proud history, with members and teams achieving local, regional, and national competition victories. However, the club’s core focus remains on enjoyment and community spirit. Many members join simply for the pleasure of playing a game or two during club sessions and participating in friendly internal tournaments.
With the club’s move to Margaretting, they extend a warm invitation to the local community and surrounding areas to come and experience croquet. No prior experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided. Croquet sessions will be held from late April to October on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm. Just bring along a pair of flat shoes or trainers, and you’re all set to enjoy this sociable sport.
If you’re considering making Margaretting your home, why not drop by and see what the community has to offer? And if you’re looking for a place to call your own, we at Bond Residential are here to assist you with your property needs. Come join the fun and discover the joy of croquet at Margaretting Village Hall!
