Get ready for a delightful day out as the Danbury and Little Baddow Open Gardens event returns on Sunday, 14 June 2026. From 10.30am to 5.00pm, these charming villages will open their gates to reveal a treasure trove of beautiful private gardens, all in the name of charity. Now in its 27th year, this much-loved event is a fantastic opportunity to gather inspiration for your own outdoor spaces while supporting Farleigh Hospice.
Visitors can look forward to exploring a diverse array of gardens, each offering its own unique charm and character. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply enjoy the beauty of nature, there’s something for everyone. Meet the passionate garden owners who will be more than happy to share their tips and tricks, and perhaps even inspire you to open your garden next year!
The fun doesn’t stop at the gardens. Danbury Village Green will be bustling with local craft stalls, ice cream, and family-friendly games. The traditional village atmosphere will be enhanced by lively Morris dancing, making it a perfect day out for all ages. Don’t forget to visit the All Day Café at Danbury Village Hall for delicious meals, cakes, and refreshments to keep you energised throughout the day.
Tickets are available for £7 in advance or £8 on the day, with free entry for accompanied under 16s. Secure your wristband and programme online via Farleigh Hospice or at their shops. On the day, tickets can be purchased at Danbury Village Hall or any open garden.
