Spring is in the air, and Little Baddow is ready to showcase its floral splendour with the much-anticipated Little Baddow Open Gardens on Saturday, 17th May 2025. From 11am to 5pm, this cherished annual event offers a delightful mix of nature, history, and community, all while supporting a great cause. Stroll through a variety of captivating gardens, each offering its own unique charm. From meticulously maintained lawns to vibrant wildflower meadows, these private green spaces are sure to inspire any garden enthusiast. With a handy map of walking routes, you can explore at your leisure, taking in the beauty of each garden.
But there's more than just gardens to enjoy! Classic car lovers can marvel at the vintage cars display, while art aficionados can appreciate the local talent at the art exhibition. Delve into Little Baddow's rich history at the History Centre or admire the wool and weaving display, celebrating the village's heritage crafts. Be sure to visit the serene St Andrews church and chapel for a touch of tranquillity.
Savour delicious lunches, refreshing teas, and a tempting array of wine, Pimm’s, and Prosecco. A lively marching band will provide live entertainment, enhancing the festive atmosphere, and free minibuses will ensure easy transport around the event.
All funds raised will support the repair and maintenance of the village church and community rooms at St Andrews, helping them continue their vital work within the community.
